PHOTO BOOKS

I'm a busy person all the time. And that's why all the time, even I'm sitting down viewing TV, I'm doing something out of my time. I'm used to do two things at a time or more. And I think it is called multi tasking which very bad for the body. Just like everyday, while I was cooking our breakfast in the morning my foot is stepping on a rug cleaning the floor. One afternoon while I was cleaning the cabinet I accidentally found old photos inside the bag, that was given to me by one of my friends years ago. But since I was busy that day, I post it as a reminder that I have to buy a photo book for those old family pictures that I hadn't given time for a long time. And to think again of how many hours I had to spend just for a piece of photo book? FLOODS

I was walking home carrying all things I bought from the market yesterday. When I happened to read from a newspaper displayed at the sidewalk stated "Floods in good and bad days." Isn't that alarming that even there’s no typhoon, floods are here in some parts of our country and also in other parts of the world? It flashbacks into my mind when I was young, that a super typhoon is only the threatening calamities that would damage lives and properties of the people. I never heard my grandparents told a story about floods on me when I was at the age where I can understands what's happening around the environment. And a flood nowadays is not an ordinary flood where you can wait to subside at a very short time. Come to think where this water came from. And water really came from nowhere and it came at the time where you can't protect yourself of the damages. Flood waters in any directions roaring as if angry of human beings who still abusing Mother Nature. But I think in my little way of understanding, the over population somehow contribute to cause floods. When we are over populated, even portion of bodies of water are being covered and converted into residential areas. As of this moment I can't imagine what to do for myself and my family if another Noah's Ark will be floating again because of what we are doing to our mother nature "Earth."

When I'm In Depression

Who says that depression is a sickness that can't be avoided and solved? At times we should welcome depression as a test of our faith and strength of our flesh. Depression comes within us when times nobody cares and we're in so much trouble of everything. But aren't you know that nobody can help us but ourselves alone. Don't be afraid to consult a doctor if necessary. Stand tall and be firm. Always think that in every problem there's a solution. But in every trouble you will encounter don't forget to ask guidance through prayers because the Lord will never fail you. I can now accept the fact that when I’m in depression; I am in my most powerful moment and strength.......

GOD HAD HIS ON UNIQUE WAY

Korina wants to buy a new pair of shoes to be used in their church service. So we went to the mall to look for black flat shoes that she wants. But as we were on our way to the mall, I told her that only a week ago I found a shoe that I think she likes and I might buy for her. So as we enter the mall, I took Korina to where I found the shoes and try to ask the size for her. After she fitted the shoes and I was about to pay for it she changes her mind. She asks me to look for other styles since we still have a lot of time to go around for the right one. Then we did stop from one shop to another. And then we finally stop at their favorite shoe center. I paid less than a thousand for the shoes and to my surprise as I reach my change for the bill I paid a small, familiar book was handed into my hand. It was a 2011 edition of "OUR DAILY BREAD." It was indeed surprising that God had His own surprising and unique means to reach us what we want in the most unexpected place and time. It's just in my mind that I should have one copy of the said book, but of no effort at all I got it, right there. Sometime ago, I was so bothered of so many problems that came on my way past med-year. But little by little I realized that God never left me alone facing those hard times when I almost standing alone solving those problems. For how many times I've been in this kind of situation, where I stand alone but things came in order through prayers. May be sometimes we are forcing ourselves to do things on our way, but of no good results. So, now I go with the flow where God will lead me what to do at His own right time.

DISTRACTED

The university where I teach as an adjunct professor provide laptops and computers for each student. While this can be an aid to students in many ways. I have discovered one thing it hinders learning . A laptops can become a distraction during class. Because the students take notes on their laptops, they have them open on their desk during class. The problem is that they find texting their friends, visiting Facebook, or checking on the Internet more interesting than their lectures.
A laptop loses value in the learning environment if it becomes a distraction -- even if what the students are doing is positive.
Good things can do that. Things that have value can draw our attention from what we should be paying attention to. This was true for Martha. Luke 10:40 says she was "distracted with much serving." which took her away from spending time with Jesus. In the same way, a good hobby can have value in and of itself. But if it distracts you from your family responsibilities or relationship with God, some changes are needed.

INSTALLED

At long last my "MS" was installed yesterday. Now I think I will be in the mood to post every now and then. It's a big help using an MS since I always had a hard time correcting my spelling. Sometimes if I can't type the word correctly I rather read a magazine or some reading materials or look the word on a dictionary, isn't it a waste of time but using MS is much easier than sorting to find the correct spelling.
