HOME MAKING DAY

Today, I sew a new curtain to replace a very old one hanging in my window. I didn’t do this home making job for almost five years in my own home. I bought the textile last week when I visited a mall nearest to us. I love the design and the color of my new curtain. It took me three hours to finish it. But I'm very satisfied, I made my day making something different today. Just like the saying goes, " Never let the sun goes down doing nothing the whole day ". Always make your day fulfilling!

CHECKING OUT AND THE ECLIPSE

We just arrive from the government office where my husband filed a set of documents to claim for an additional benefit. He filed it December 10, 2009 and he was instructed to make a follow up after the New Year. So after the New Year January 8, I started calling the office if there's a cash check issued for my husband. But I wasted so much time calling because nobody answered my call for four consecutive days.So, why not visit the office for sure, why nobody is answering my call?? We arrived in the office 2:30 in the afternoon. We waited forty five minutes before we were entertained. But the documents are still in a waiting status. But the nice thing that happened was, the telephone for a follow up was corrected. So, no wonder why I can't contact the office, I misread the second digit of the telephone number given to my husband due to super cute penmanship of the clerk. We were riding on a bus going home when I notice a lot of people viewing the longest eclipse of the millennium. Some are using dark sunglasses and others are using welding masks. It was a partial eclipse here in the Philippines but in some other Asian countries it was a total eclipse. The next eclipse of this kind will happen this coming year 2020, the newsman said. If I remember it right, the last time I witnessed an eclipse was 1986. I was only twenty four years old then at that time.

No brushing After Meals

According to what I've read, the acids in many foods soften tooth enamel, making it vulnerable to damage from brushing. Wait at least 30 to 60 minutes; by then, the acids will have cleared and the enamel will have re-hardened. You can't speed the process: Rinsing your mouth with water make a difference.

NO MORE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS

Sofia, a friend of mine who works in an electronic company for twenty years, told me this story. How somebody used her identity, to transact for a loan using her personal information. She had already applied three times for a loan from her company loan benefit, using the money for a small business that her mother manages herself. After five years, the business became successful and after paying the total amount of the third loan she stops borrowing again from the company. She also went to the personnel office to clarify things about what happened but of no transparent result. So many identity frauds happening around! As I was recalling Sofia’s story nowadays, how I wish that there’sExperian sues Life Lock before the identity fraud happened to my friend. And that she should have been protected of an identity fraud and hope it will never happen to her again. People in all walks of life must have known this company. Brave and dependable identity fraud company, which stands by their customers and now with new "Identity Alert System" monitoring both service and credit account application to check for the misuse of one's valuable information. Forgers are everywhere; you may not know when they will victimize you. Beware!

UNAVOIDABLE WEIGHT GAIN

Christmas and New Year's Eve are always celebrated with variety of foods here in the Philippines. And I think, also in other parts of the world. So, what do you think will happen if we think of food preparation after these two occasions? Of course, a lot of Filipinos gained the unexpected weight they avoided for several months. But neither one of us can surely resist of the foods we seldom serve and eat for once a year. Like roasted pig, fruit salads, pasta of different cooking style.But never regret the food that you have eaten during the holidays, you might as well regret it if you have not eaten them!

Christmas Season

Nights are cold and holiday rush is in town. Here in the Philippines, Christmas is celebrated in different activities. We have our " Simbang Gabi" a Catholic tradition where people go to church early dawn at around four in the morning."Simbang Gabi" starts dawn of December 16 and ends at dawn 24th of December. After the mass, believers buy food found outside the church such as "Puto Bumbong" a steamed violet colored glutinous ground rice,with brown sugar, grated coconut and margarine toppings packed in fresh banana leaves.It cost Php12 per pack. The "Bibingka" is also a ground rice mixed of sugar, yeast or baking powder, baked using a charcoal pot and with salted egg, grated fresh coconut and  also with white sugar toppings. Bibingka cost Php25 the smallest, price depends on the sizes.Fireworks is also visible mostly every weekends on shopping malls.It's a Filipino tradition to go home to each provinces to celebrate Christmas with their love ones. Malls and other business establishments are flocks of shoppers to buy gifts and for themselves.
Christmas parties are held and employees are happy of their bonuses and thirteenth month pays. Variety of foods such as ham, salads, spaghetti, breads, beverages, local and imported fruits are served on "Noche Buena" at Christmas Eve.Even how big or small the budget is, it's nice to know that Christmas is here again to remind us the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
