Palm Sunday

I used to attend a 6:30 Sunday mass at St. Joseph The Worker Parish church near a subdivision where we lived. Last Sunday, I did plan to attend mass at the church I used to visit before but since my best friend asked me to bring her two blessed palms after the mass and I'm quite not very sure if I can produced what she's requesting. At the last minute I change my mind and attended mass at St. Joseph the Worker Parish church because I missed the adoration room for two Sundays I wasn't able to visit. Honestly as the mass was going on, I still don't know where to get the two blessed coconut palms my best friend was asking because not even one coconut palm vendors were still around to sell me. And I didn't know where to beg even only one. After the mass it's my habit to be blessed by the priest and got inside the adoration room to pray and thank the Lord for the blessings we received for the week. And after I went out of the adoration room, I helped some of the church staff to stack the chairs that we use during the mass. Then as I was pulling chairs one by one I saw another staff with a scissors, cutting the wire tied at blessed palms on the church post inside the church. So, I came nearer to her and asked her if I could bring home some of the blessed palms and without asking any questions she said "yes". Then I took two blessed coconut palms and I brought the palms to my best friend's house straight from the church before going home. But I have my question in my mind....... Is it alright to just asked somebody to give you and to have this palms without attending mass? Anyway I got a very big thank you from my best friend.
