ENGINEER ABNER FRANCO'S BIRTHDAY

Kathy and other choir members will render songs today on Engineer Abner Franco's birthday. Eng. Franco is the other half of Tita Bing who leads the church choir at ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER'S PARISH, just a few blocks away our house. I hope they will have a good time offering today and yesterday songs to a man with a big, big heart no other than the...... the celebrant. A happy birthday but don't worry I will not ask about your age anyway!

CAR CARE

As I registered my car at the Land Transportation Office last year, I met Eda who's also in the process of registering her 5 year old car that day. She was writing her data on a registration form when a man behind the counter get near us and offered his service to make it easier and faster for us to register our cars. I refused and also Eda. I told him, I have a friend inside the Land Transportation Office that can manage everything for me. All I have to do is to completely finish everything about the registration form and leave the amount to my friend then it's finished. I'll just pick my new sticker and my official receipt and that's all. The next day as I enter the office, I saw Eda again and as if he was looking for somebody. I went to her and ask if she had finished registering her car. There she told me that the man that offered us her service yesterday got her money promising her of car insurance and some benefits from it. " Oh no Eda, you'd been a victim of a car insurance fixer ", I told her. If I only know that you will be compromising with that man then I only introduced you to my friend or had taught you how to insure your car on line. Untimely death

Just an hour ago, we saw again the news on TV that three persons been murdered two days ago. All of them were all connected in buy and sell of second hand cars. Both cases were of the same style in killing the victims. Investigations were theorized as it might be a car nap upon road test. I really sympathized with the victims and their families and friends. They're just a kind of those hardworking people who work hard for a living and come across their fate with this kind of untimely death. As I saw the news, I recall my experience selling a second hand car which I advertised through one of a popular internet sites. Buyers keep coming, calling and sending messages from anywhere in different provinces. Some were agents, while some were car agents. Anyway my point is, at times any buyers approached me to road test the car, first I would frankly tell him that I will not allow him to drive the car without me and my husband or somebody with me. I will only let the buyer drive the car alone but if I fell that he can be somehow trusted and if he insist he wants someone to be with him I'll allowed him. But my God, I prayed so much as the car road test is going on! Luckily I found a good buyer and until now we were friends. Now another lesson we learned that not all people we met along the road can be trusted. It's up to us to deal with them.

FLOODS AGAIN

SEVERAL BINGO SITES

Linda and Efren are spouses who both work at the Municipal City Office. Linda was assigned at the Assessor's office while Efren works at the Engineering office. They had two daughters and one helper in the house. The two kids go to a private school. Efren and Linda sent their two daughters in school in the morning before going to their work and fetch them after office hours. The family lives; a simple life with their routine everyday. So their officemates ask them about their leisure time and how they spent it. Both spouses told them that they play Bingo at the mall twice or thrice a week. Some had a doubt if the couple was telling the truth. But the fact that the couple owns a brand new car and the car was a grand prize from playing Bingo at the mall, they were easily convinced. As much as possible we always want to go home straight after work if possible and if only we can play Bingo at home we might not go to the mall just for that reason, the couple commented.
