A contract was signed between Emma and Engineer Justin. It was a Php 2.5 million labor and class "A" material contract that Emma and his engineer, agreed upon for the building of Emma's house. A 50 % percent advance payment was given to the contractor. Then, the construction started and smoothly runs for almost six months and Emma transferred to her new house after it was blessed. It is a three story building and she feels fine of her new house because it is well ventilated and spacious. Her husband arrived home from abroad and appreciated the contractor and thankful for what Emma had done for his money. A week after while taking a bath inside the bathroom, her husband noticed that the tiles used on the flooring had a scratch and some had a pointed edge the may harm one's foot upon stepping on it. And they found out some more defects on some parts of the house. So to make the story short their was an argument between the couple and the contractor that ended to court. The couple's problem is almost likely what happened in condominiums and houses in Florida, wherein one of the materials that was used inside the units caused property and health damages.
