I am academically gifted most especially when it comes to Mathematics and no wonder I came out good and fast in calculating figures. And added that I'm a good cook, too. My friend asked me, "What course did I graduated in college?" I said "None of the above!" "But why you come this far?" I don't easily answered her question because she might not agree with me. But I told her, I have a lot of courage, the patience, resourcefulness and above all these traits I never give up talking to the LORD and I believed this things happened as planned by HIM and not on my own strength. And I added I never, never, never dreamed of these things in my entire life; GOD give these to me so much...... unexpectedly. I hope as we parted ways, my friend got my point of view. But I forgot to elaborate to my friend that being a degree holder is always something you can be proud of. And most of the time you have to work for it. But as always, it is still your choice to bring out the best in you and how to deal with everything around you.

Education is the key to success. But why today's generations spent so much time in playing games at the time they open their computers at home or even at internet shops? But still I know some who uses computer for studying purposes. But which of this two brain resources do you think is more useful and effective to use, a computer or a book? I know both are important to us today, but I still preferred books for whatever purpose because I can easily find them everywhere and it is not complicated to use. Books are still the best source of information and knowledge to use because you can concentrate and have a hundred percent focus on it. DOLPHINS

I disagree of the dolphin's shows that a certain producer is planning to hold this coming Christmas days. Besides of being away from their habitat, the animals will be expose to a chlorinated water which I think will damage their breathing system. I hope that the proposal be cancelled. There's a lot more to make children enjoy their holidays, and not at the expense of our very friendly dolphins.

It seems that being rich gives and allows us to enjoy everything in this world. Not only six cars, they also bought a big house in a millionaires row subdivision. And her families had already enjoyed visiting beautiful places here and abroad. But today as Linda enjoys a hectic schedule of being rich, we seldom see each other. May be once I see Linda next time, all I had to do is to let her know about breaks in uk. I was crowned Miss Elementary 1972 in my school when I was nine years old. Thank you for those private photographers who had taken pictures of mine at that moment of my life and also to my grandmother who kept my pictures until the day she died. But eventually today, I haven't had even a single copy of my pictures that was kept by my grandmother. May be my mother might kept some, but since we keep transferring from one place to another I think those picture are nowhere to be found. I graduated 1979 in high school but I didn't have even a single picture that will remind me of my secondary level days. As everyone knows and says, you lost one third of your life once you don't experienced a high school life. I love to reminisced those days where my curiosity started, where I experienced crushes with my opposite sex. A wasted moments of my life that I can't retake. At the time that I had my kids, I bought a manually operated camera so I can take their moments mostly their school activities and birthdays. But if time comes that I can afford to buy a video camera I'll buy myself one to capture every important and special moments of my family.

Inside a mall, Lara was window shopping for a new chandelier when she happened to see her long lost friend who came all the way from US for a vacation. New and Antique Clocks

Thank you for the new and fast rising technology of the world made by man. I don't need to look up the sun to know what time is it now. As I may recall we don't have watches or clocks at home when I was a kid. We only have a battery operated transistor radio that tells us the time once it was on. We don't have electricity during those times. My grandfather uses what they called “Petromax" and until now I don't really know what this word means, isn't that weird? That was a bit of my life story during the 70's where we lived in the same roof of my grandparent’s house. May be they don't know what the importance of clocks is and watches those times. But nowadays even on your cell phones you have your time to remind you of your schedules. I keep dreaming of a big house still; because I want to buy a big clock with pendulum. I want to put it at the corner of the receiving room and I will make my order at hermle clock. November 1

We arrived earlier than our usual drive to Bulacan because their was no traffic at the time. As usual relatives of my husband had a great time at the cemetery. It's nice to see that a lot of them visited the cemetery this year. We went home before the sunset.

OLD OAK TREE

Almost a month ago, our country was crumbled by typhoon " Juan " that left damages and death to our people, crops and properties. It was one of the strongest typhoon ever visited the country, this year. Farmers who were supposed to harvest their crops were very disappointed of what happened to their farms. Others had survived some of their products but still .large amount were wasted, crashed and down to the ground. That's life.... And we had nothing to do if it's done and happened by nature. Anyway, what we can do next is to think of what to do of what was left behind on us after the typhoon. Just like the crops that crashed down to the ground, we can use it as feeds for our pets and other animals. Old oak trees that was also down on the ground..... can be meant to be a beautiful furnitures like rustic bedroom furniture. NICE CARDS

I always preferred a home service, rather than going to a parlor to fix my hair problem. Not only me but also for Kathy and Korina, my daughters. Until my bad experience on Kathy's hair changes my habit. One day my friend referred to me a gay beautician to treat Kathy's dry hair. He is very funny telling us jokes new and old. While he was busy with Kathy's hair, I was in the kitchen preparing our food for lunch that day. After several hours, he finished fixing Kathy's hair and I even give him a snack and the payment before he left the house. Right after he left, Kathy rinses her hair at the bathroom and let it dry her hair with a towel. But to my surprise, Kathy came out from the bathroom crying.... Some of her hairs were falling once she damped and squeezed the towel on it. I hurriedly went to our Barangay Office to file a complaint against the gay beautician. And the matter was settled by agreements between me and the beautician. That bad experience was a good lesson learned for me. A week after that incident, while I was to aboard a tricycle, I picked up a hair salon business card. Halloween

Kids, kids and kids everywhere inside the mall because of trick or treat this Halloween 2010. They stop at every stores holding their orange plastic pumpkins and begging for candies. Unexpectedly

This morning a friend of mine told me of what happened last night on their house. She sounds as if teary eyed narrating to me the scenario. At around four in the afternoon, her husband was with her colleagues celebrating the birthday of one of them.. There's laughter and singing until ten in the evening. Then one of them asked everyone to go to the beer garden since they're all already drunk. My friend asked them not to go and may be she felt jealous of the boy's plan.Yes, her husband did not go with their plan but upon arriving home she started a fight with my friend. This was the very first time that my friend's husband did this horrible thing to their marriage. So, she fight back because never did she expected that for more than twenty years of being so much understanding to him, how come he did this to her. She was even rushed to the hospital to checked her blood pressure. I just don't know if as at this moment she had fixed everything with her husband. I just told her to stay put and never give in to the situation. " Bad spirit is at work to ruin your marriage " I continued telling her. Then she said "thank you" to me, for listening to her and told me that she hadn't told this thing to anybody, but only to me.

Battery

I replace the battery of my caller ID, today. I tried another brand and it's nice to know that I saved  half of the price, of the brand that I used to buy at the supermarket. And with the money I saved, I was able to buy liquid soap for Korina . So sometimes it's quite good to have a lot of brands competing in the market . The consumers can have their choices to what brand and at the same time save on the price. I hope that the quality of the battery I tried today will not lose my expectation of it's longevity.

"Juan " The Super Typhoon

Juan is one of the strongest typhoons that hit the country this year. And that leaves the country billions in damages of crops and properties. According to the weather station, there are still six typhoons to be expected before the year ends. As of now several provinces in Central Luzon is still suffering of floods and victims are in need of relief goods. Even though the government exerted enough effort to update the people and to prepare all the necessary precautions the typhoon was so super strong that it crashed everything in the ground. The church and one of the government agencies concerned had a hard time discussing about birth control. The government had already started giving away birth control pills and other supplies especially to the remote areas were population is fast multiplying. But the church really disagrees of the process. On my own insights, it's always the mother that is very much in-charge of how to control birth. I think the parties involve must say to it that women married or not, once they started to have a monthly period should be aware and be educated enough to know and how to use methods of birth control so not to have unexpected pregnancy that resulted to a rapid population explosion.

The card that I used for twenty years was really true to its promise and the benefits were surely given. But one of my friends really referred to me a health card company that she was really very proud to recommend and it was HVG insurance. Proven and tested and you can't ask for more. One day I ask God a bundle of flowers, but He give me a cactus full of torn. Again, I also ask Him a butterfly but instead he give me a worm. I was so desperate. But after how many days I noticed the cactus bore a colorful flower and the worm turns into a beautiful butterfly. Most of the time God teaches as to be patient, because He's the only one who knows what is best for us.God bless......

I was riding a jeep from the market, going home. I was seating at the rear seat near the driver. At my back I heard two woman in their late forty's, talking about their love life. They were talking as if both of them are separated from their husband. The chubby lady was disgusted of her husband's womanizing attitude that's why she leaves him. The other woman was telling that her husband usually beat her children without any reason, every time he gets drunk. They keep exchanging words about each other’s husband and also about their kids. But I was happy listening and glance at them from time to time they will laugh loud, as if they felt they were the only passenger inside the jeep. Passengers come and go but the two ladies didn’t stop talking. We almost traveled three kilometers when the chubby lady asked her friend if what her plans about her love life? If she still plans to fall in love again. The other lady laughs and nods her head giving a positive sign. How about you are you still ready for another love affair? “Yes” said the other woman. WRONG PRESCRIPTION

Almost a week ago Myk and I went to the doctor for a consultation. We both were given each others prescribe medicine to take for each others illnesses.But to Myk surprise the pharmacist don't allowed him to buy the medicine because the milligram indicated to the prescription was lower than expected. May be it was miss looked by the physician. So we have to come back to the doctor to make sure that the medicine be properly prescribe.

MR. RIGHT?

I have a friend name Lyn, whose husband died last year. She was left of five kids by her husband and also no income to feed them all. She only finished second year high school, so who will give her a good job to feed her family? None the less she will apply as house hold helper or a laundry woman to earn for a living. But to earn a minimum of Php500 weekly can't be enough to spend for a weekly consumption for six persons. One day while on her way to the market, Lyn met a long lost friend named Isabel who like her did not finished her high school, but married a Senior American citizen that in some ways give her the pleasure that her family did not give her before. As they talk for almost an hour, her friend promised to give her a chat mate once she goes back to the United States. That was already one year since they met but no chat mate was introduced to Lyn. May be Isabel had forgotten her promise to Lyn. So, if I were to Lyn I’d rather visit meet seniors to meet Senior citizens from other places whose looking for a Filipina who wants to meet or marry a foreigner.

Michael had submitted all his requirements for another job today. He's waiting for his orientation .Hope it will come so soon.

I just want to post the date when I order my liquefied petroleum gas for cooking today, to date how many days will I use the content. The price is very unstable. I paid Php550 today.

FREE BUSINESS CARD

A friend of mine recently open a small business in a commercial area near the Land Transportation Office.She ordered a tarpaulin and hang it at the corner before her business site. She's so fond of cooking so in short; she put up a food business.Though the delicacies are in good taste and cheap she's in trouble pushing it to the customer because of business competition..So she talked to me and ask what she's needed to survive the business? May be she trusted me to much that I'm the one she consulted.So, I told her to order for a calling card or a business card. It's another way of promoting your own business instead of paying for other sort. And after our conversation we look for a business card maker that are selling at it's lowest price. That day she ordered only 100 pieces because they did not allowed orders lower than one hundred pieces and she were able to pay for the advance payment and the clerk give her three days to come back for the item and to pay for the balance. So the next three days passed and we went back to the store but to our surprise the store was closed. A nearby store clerk says that the card maker transfered to another site but they don't know where.Dismay and desperate we went home and make our way where to make an order for a business card. This time I leave it to her where to make an order to avoid blame. But before hand if I was only aware of internet orders I would recommend to her free business cards. You got what you want and expect more what your expecting. NMEDA

That was 2004 when my son Michael, enrolled for another course in college. He enrolled for computer engineering course but completed only one year for it. But during those semesters while he was in school what really catches my eye was his classmate named, JR. He's the only student inside the campus that can't go to school without his wheelchair. He was a polio victim but with so much determination to finish his studies, he goes to school everyday turning the wheel of his wheelchair by his two hands until he reaches the gate of the school. And he did this almost everyday by himself and sometimes if he's lucky enough a classmate or a friend may give him a push of his wheelchair whenever they see him on the way to school if they want to hike a short distance from the highway, to their school and not to ride a tricycle. And believe it or not, he travel almost one kilometer everyday crossing the highway just to be in school so he will be in school earlier than his classmates so that he will be push upstairs by them for their subjects at the upper level of the school building and because of their effort, JR called his classmates his " private caregivers ".JR was a big inspiration to me and I think also to our community and inside the school campus. He had a positive out look in life. He's very talkative and I saw him smiling to often and greet friends he passed by. But in spite of his disability, he doesn't mind nor clamor of what hardship he goes through and mind you; he even goes to singing auditions to participate riding on his wheelchair! Yes that's JR, and if I'll be given a chance and if I can only invent a machine that could make it easier for him to go to school I'll make it! Oh my! I'm familiar of the automatic wheelchairs that those well off disable persons are using, but one day to my surprise I saw JR driving a scooter type of wheelchair. I have no time to ask JR where he got his new type of wheelchair but how I pray that JR soon be driving a model that came from NMEDA dealers. The advantage of availing disabled equipment from them is that they educate and evaluate what kind of equipment suited for clients needs. They see to it that quality and high standard materials are met for customer’s satisfaction. It's a tough job to attend to the mobility of disable person's needs. Why push or carry him when he can move and drive by himself around using NMEDA equipments? It’s the client’s safety that they put on consideration of their product and the freedom of the family to give independence to the patient. So the next time I see JR on the road or anywhere driving his brand new wheelchair, I'll check it out and mention to him about what I've discover about NMEDA product. If JR is happy using his ordinary wheelchair, how much happier he be if he can avail of NMEDA product and can call it his own!

Need New Furniture?

It's been a long time that I haven't engaged myself to business. Since my husband loves doing furniture of our own and somehow his got a lot of idea to do, I’m planning to start furniture as a new family business. Just like other businesses before you start it,you need to have a business plan and unique materials and designs to convince a customer that your one of a kind. Designs that's extra ordinary to one’s eyes. But maybe I have to consult my plan to my husband if he may agree with me or not. And may be I’ll introduce to him some rustic furniture so he can get an idea what a salable furniture look like. Their unique designs impressed me and that you can't easily find at any other furniture shop but only from rustic furniture alone. Besides of being unique, most of their furniture was designed to suit spaces of large and small rooms. The natural color of their furniture makes it easy to blend at any room colors and some facilities and accessories to coordinate the looks of your room. But somehow it’s nice to know that there is a company that produces good quality furniture.

What if, we don't panic!

It was ended a horrible thing to see on television to see a live coverage of hostage taking blow by blow, fed by media to the whole world. But I don't want to elaborate further the details of what had happened yesterday's hostage taking of a dismissed policeman because I know only a few wasn't aware of what happened yesterday. May be the media had over looked of their task and the policemen had missed some of the operating procedures in assisting the situation. And also I should not forget my curious fellow Filipinos who were always present to this kind of scenario without thinking the risk of their lives at any moment. So to those who blame who's who, it’s easy to say who's to blame and who we are to blame who; so we should not. Every one who's been there on the scene of the crime doing their jobs were all at risk, except to those I think who had nothing to do there but wait and say as bystanders. It was a bloody ending drama. In my own opinion, everything that happened yesterday was as if in a rush presumption and decision making without the guidance of prayer. Like the hostage taker comes to conclude that his demand will be granted right away by hostage taking. The media people, taking every views of the event while even in a very difficult situation just to get a scoop doing their jobs. And the policemen of their wrong speculations as they come closer rushing to the bus for an assault, upon knowing the news that no one was alive inside the bus at the time the bus driver was able to escape for safety and even not able to control the bystanders as soon as the tragedy ended. But we've been there,it happens as it happened yesterday. Again, I don't want to blame even a single character involve because I know everyone prayed for a peaceful ending of the story. But what if we don’t panic? Was the scenario worst than that of EDSA 1? I don't think so. It was both climatic situations but the late President Cory Aquino handled it first through prayers and miracle happened. To that eleven hours of hostage taking what if the assailant move backward and say a moment of prayer to guide them what proper things to do before they resort to an assault? What if the newscasters were able to limit their freedom to scoop blow by blow of the scenario? And the bystanders as well, did they ever think that they were not able to add distraction to the police operations? Sometimes giving in a rush approach to a certain situation resulted to a non satisfying result. I know it's not that easy to face such circumstances but first remember to be compose, have a lot of patience and analyze the root of the problem and don't forget to say a little prayer first for guidance. As they the saying goes “Prayer moves mountains“. We’re only human beings and that’s why we need to be guided accordingly by HIS well.

ATTEMPT

Tomorrow will be another day to remember for Kathy's singing career.Early morning, she will audition for a singing contest in one of the famous TV stations, in search of a new young pop star.This is an attempt to remember.I pray that GOD will guide us tomorrow so everything will be fine.As I've said everything happens because GOD had all the reasons.Don't doubt and don't ask why.Always believe that " GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME ".

YES, IT CURES!

During our younger years and even today we’re not bothered to choose activities or task that fits our capability as long our minds says “go”, we did it. Because of the saying that goes, “Time is gold” and “Time is money” sometimes we tend to neglect the pain just to gain because we’re not getting younger but older. So most often we are aggressive and always in a hurry but we tend to neglect our physical care pursuing of something in our life. But I’m sure you will agree that once you reach your mid-forties your will notice a lot of body changes on your body. Memory gap, poor eyesight, speed are just a few that affects our body’s performance but the most irritating is, the body pain and the arthritis that victimizes mostly senior citizens. What really causes the pain? Physical abuse or life style during younger age, the food we eat and lack of exercise are just a few of so many reasons that causes body pains and arthritis. And even me, due to so many task I’m doing, I did fell the pain.And to make sure that the pain will not worsen, I tried all the remedies that I think will automatically cure and may lessen the pain. Home For The Aged

At around 2:30 p. m. today, Kathy and Korina and some selected choir members of St. Joseph church will visit the home for the aged and will render some inspirational songs for them in the house.I hope the aged will enjoy the songs of the group and their visit.

ADDICTION ?

After my high school days, my family transferred to the city where “Marijuana “addictions were very rampant in the locality. Marijuana as sometimes called ‘Maryjane’ by my friends, is a dried leaves of a marijuana plant, planted illegally at the mountainous part in our country. Out of my curiosity, I've tried two sticks of marijuana and I've even swallow the ashes to hide the evidence of my crime, but after I’ve tried two sticks, it was enough for me. Yes, addiction is a crime when you get addicted to dangerous drugs just like heroin and opium. But in my own understanding that addiction is not caused by other people in our lives, but it is our own choice in life especially drug addiction. Kindly correct me if I’m wrong, that opiate addiction just started mostly out of curiosity, to escape or to overcome problems in life, inferiorities or to ease the pain to certain terminally diagnosed illnesses. I really appreciate the inventor or inventors of the said prohibited drugs for patients who took it as pain relievers.It’s quite easy to get into opiate addiction but how can you overcome neither quit it? Others have tried rehabilitation but after attending several session after released, here they go again. As I've said it is our personal choice why we become illegal drug dependents.So,it is quite good to look for the cure that others
had already tried,right? I've heard a lot of good compliments about the good pill in town, opiate withdrawal. Be determined to help yourself before it’s too late! The President and Vice-President

Today is the inauguration day of our newly elected President and Vice-President of the Republic of the Philippines, President Benigno S. Aquino III and Vice- President Jejomar Binay. On the President's short and simple promises during his rendered speech, Filipino listens with their whole heart and I think without a doubt, that the man in front of them is ever true to his word and he mean it, to fulfill every word he said. I look at him to be honest enough like his parents. I wish him good health and a sound mind to face all the problems he has to take over and continue to work out whatever he faces in the future. I know he can tackle it with his chosen cabinet members and also us, my fellow Filipinos.

Love Wood Furnitures?

Four months ago, I sold a sofa made of a floating log from Australia. My husband and I made the design. Before we got into making our own furniture, we use to buy furniture’s from a furniture shops nearby, but after years I found out that it’s not worth buying it of the price we paid for it. So when my husband were able to buy discarded woods from the factory his working, it came in to my mind to make simple designs to start a furniture of our own. We made two beds, two sofas, dining table chairs and a lot more. The sofa we had just sold was bigger than the one using in our receiving room today. I love furniture made of wood they’re cool and durable and I found it much to easier to maintain their looks. It’s nice to know we can make our own furniture, in our own simple way and taste, but how about if you don’t know how to make even one of it? Where do you think you can find one in the market that’s worth your money? I hope you can find it at log bunk bed. The furniture’s they made are of good quality and they got a lot of designs to choose with. Today is Father's Day! How will you know, you have the best father in the world? Is he the one, who supports the family's needs in what ever means? Is he the one, who cares for the family in times of trouble? Is he the one, who asks for a family day during his salary? I can't really distinguish the best father in the world, but I am proud to say, I had a very good father indeed, when he was alive. I will not say it word for word, but I know that he was a very good father to me. “Tatay” as we cold him, wherever you are," happy father's day "!

SING TO SERVE THE LORD

My two daughters were both choir members of our parochial church. I have spent so much for them to have a singing career but I had proven it a few times and I don't need to force them since they are still of a young age. So when they were both called to be a choir member; no doubt, I don't need a second thought. Now they're more than a month singing to serve the Lord.

Depression

Two friends of mine are both under the state of depression. The younger one was swindled by her hard earned money that reaches almost 15 to 20 million pesos. I don't need to elaborate to really what happened because it is indeed a bad experience. I was with her when she first visited a psychiatrist. I thought she was joking at me when she asked me to accompany her to the doctor. But it wasn't a joke she paid the psychiatrist two thousand pesos for the consultation. She was given three kinds of medicine. The first one is for the mind's zero toning which I can't understand myself. The other one is something sounds like a relaxant and the last one is a sleeping pills that she needs only to take whenever she had a hard time to make a sleep. She’s beautiful inside and out as I look at her face from time to time while she was interviewed by the doctor. But she was strong enough to carry herself alone for two years and come up in the open to tell me everything and told me that nobody understands what she felt at that very moment. I understand the pain and the agony of her heart since I was also a mother. And the money was her saving for the education of her three children. But it was gone and all she needs now is to sue the swindler, until she was jailed. I told her to forget the bad experience and move on to her businesses and start saving again.
The next one is my best friend. She's 63 years old. She was strike of depression for almost two months, a week after her daughter left for Canada to work as a care giver.
And why can't you fell depressed, when you're one and only daughter that you care for almost 32 years and now will left you when you are almost at the peak of your age which supposedly you are tenderly cared by her. Her daughter graduated three courses here in the Philippines. So as she was blessed and given a chance, I told her why miss it when you can have a good chance to use what you have studied. She’s an Accountant under Board, a registered Nurse and a Management graduate. And where her daughters suppose to apply her degrees, if she will not go and try her luck abroad? I have seen the determination of my friend's daughter the day she left because I was with their family when she was sent to the airport. But the most affected was my best friend because in-spite of the fact that she's sickly, she had to attend to her grandson who is a special child. They belong to a middle class family here but the promise of tomorrow inspires her daughter so much that after two years she will be a Canadian immigrant. And that she could get her family to be with her the time; she become a Canadian citizen. But my big question is, I know that my friend's daughter can sacrifice the time to over come the homesick. Will for how long my best friend be ever stay, to over come her depression. I also accompanied her to the cardiologist for a consultation. Well that's life it's your choice how to handle your feelings. I've gone through a lot of depressions but here I am still standing alive and kicking. As I had experienced, a doctor, friends and relatives are a big help in times of depression but still it's up to you how to deal with it.

Who will be the next President?

Who will be the next President of my beautiful Philippines? Is he or she is in mind and heart of the people, or is it because of the colorful baller ID that some of the candidates were throwing on the streets during their campaign? I hope not. Two days to go and Filipinos will make the most out of each single vote to make a change for his country. But inspite of so many controversies about the country's first ever automated voting, there are still a lot who still don't know whom to vote for. A lot of Filipinos today are puzzled about the capability and the character of the candidate, if he can really put an end to the sufferings of the population once he is elected. They just want to make sure that they will not commit another mistake, again. Hoping for the best and honest election is what really in their mind. Let us pray for our vote. All we need to pray for is to have a President that will really make a change today and for the future, as all of them again promised to the Filipino people.

HOW TO WALK

Dana and Rich went out for an afternoon bike ride expected to come home refreshed. Instead, their lives were changed forever. As Rich rode down the hill, he lost his control of his bike and crashed. His body was mangled, and he barely made it to the hospital alive.
Dana faithfully kept vigil by her husband's side. He couldn't feed himself,and he couldn't walk. One day, as the two of them sat under a shade tree outside the hospital. Rich turned to his wife and said. "Dana, I don't know if I'll ever walk again, but I'm learning to walk closer to Jesus, and that's what I really want." Instead of shaking his fist at God, Rich reached out and grabbed His hand.
Sometimes in the midst of our trials, we need to think about someone like Rich to help us adjust our perspective-- to remind us of the remarkable relationship with God through Jesus Christ.This is the relationship we need most when the going gets the toughest.
We are not equipped to handle all the problem we face, but God is.That's why he told us to give it all to Him--- to "cast the burden on the Lord.." (Ps.55:22). As Rich, found out, walking with Jesus doesn't depend on our legs. It depends on our heart. -- Dave Branon

Extension landline number

This afternoon, I provided a land line extension number to one of our tenants. Just to make sure that I'll be updated every now and then of what's up at the apartment. And also today Kathy sings the national anthem for the opening of the Barangay Basketball League at the Barangay covered court. She also rendered an intermission number.

I sometimes had a hard time thinking of what topics do I need to start for another blog. May be it’s my mood that really counts all the time since I'm a very busy mom. Busy in the sense that I do almost ninety percent of all household chores in the house. I take charge of all monthly bills, my office work, the planning and cooking of food for my family and also the school activities of my two daughters. And I think with these hectic schedules that I have, I’m not far away from stress and tensions. But I’m a mother; I can’t excuse myself doing these chores. Bringing Home The Bacon

I was to busy for the past two weeks attending the needs of Kathy for the Grand Finals of the singing contest, that's why I wasn't able to open up my computer. It was a great feeling that we made it to the Grand Final's of the “Barangay Singing Idol " and thank God, Kathy won the First Prize. I'll show some of the pictures and videos taken by my best friend's daughter for my next post. But the contest is not over yet. Kathy has to compete with twelve more singers; one singer each Makro's branch. It will be a promising career for whoever comes out,a winner.

BARANGAY SINGING IDOL

Last February 13 2010, Kathy passed the singing audition at Makro, a sister company of Shoe Mart at Las Piñas City. They were 21 contestants who were qualified for elimination round. They were divided for two Fridays for the elimination and Kathy was assigned for the second set. She was scheduled to go back February 27, 3:00 p.m... So we were there yesterday and thank GOD out of eleven participants luckily Kathy made it for the semi-final round this coming Friday. I'll just tell you the up dates next week folks!

Field Trip

Korina is leaving this morning for her school field trip. She's very excited about it that she can hardly sleep last night. It's a part of their school activity for the whole year. The assembly time is 7:00 o'clock in the morning. They will visit the Shoe Factory, Yabs Design, and Petrology in Marikina. While Korina is leaving for a field trip, Kathy is also preparing for her Recollection in Pansol,Laguna. The activity will take two nights and two days. She will be home on Monday.

Just Trust The Lord

Scoop!

I was with my friend's daughter, her niece, my daughter Korina inside the car last night. We're heading towards a friend's house in another village. But along the way,we passed at a dark side of the street to see a lot of cars in front of
a big,white house. Policemen and newscaster's service cars are visible in the area. Bystanders were also present as if watching what is happening inside and what will happen next. We don't attempt to stop to see what really happened to avoid something worst to see. So, we went ahead to our destination. She had already joined two bands. But I always remind her just to enjoy music for the meantime and go for it once she got her diploma if she wants.
